I remember when I was when I was in the drill team of the Queens Village Youth Marching Band, we would twirl rifles. Well, actually they were slabs of wood with metal attached to them. We would do a few maneuvers with them, marching and moving them from shoulder to shoulder.
Now, a library drill team does maneuvers with book carts, empty ones. Actually I think that it would be more interesting with full ones this way you can deduct points for books that fall off the truck and also it would be harder to maneuver it. I would like to see a library drill team in action and perhaps cheer them on or even join in on the fun. Heck it is a great way to get exercise pushing a book cart on pavement instead on the usual library flooring that one would be used to. People have to be careful on hills; after all you don't want a runaway book truck.

Technology
According to Wikipedia, technology is a broad concept that deals with a species' usage and knowledge of tools and crafts, and how it affects a species' ability to control and adapt to its environment. In human society, it is a consequence of science and engineering, although several technological advances predate the two concepts. Technology is a term with origins in the Greek "technologia",("craft") and "logia", ("saying"). However, a strict definition is elusive; "technology" can refer to material objects of use to humanity, such as machines, hardware or utensils, but can also encompass broader themes, including systems, methods of organization, and techniques. The term can either be applied generally or to specific areas: examples include "construction technology", "medical technology", or "state-of-the-art technology".

Technology to me is using new tools that would be able to help me be more productive. Like using a computer to write a paper, a radio to help me wake up in the morning, a cellphone to help me to stay in contact with friends and family, to name a few. There is new technology coming out each day, who knows what new technology will come. Maybe, there will be something to help me get up in the morning and also be able to make breakfast while checking to see what the forecast of the day is, that would be a cool piece of tecnology for me to own.

Just looking around
Cool!
So far according to the 23 1/2 page, there are 61 people participating in this program. Which means there are 61 blogs that I can look through. :) Well, anway.
Earlier this week, I posted on my LiveJournal blog, a list of the 106 books most often marked as "unread" by LibraryThing (as of October 3, 2007). And I was wondering which of these books have you read? I am sorry to admit, that the ones that I read were becuase they were required to read for a class that I was taking.
Here's a link to that entry.

2nd week
We are in the 2nd week of the project. So far I have created my own blogger and did the 7 1/2 things tutorial. It has been kind of interesting so far, I have been able to see some of my co-workers' blogs. It is kind of nice getting to know people at work better. I am really looking foward to reading the blogs as the program progresses.
